Anyone have an out of control 12 year old????

I am a single mother of a 12 year old boy who is starting to show signs of rebellion. He is not helping out around the house and is constantly bullying his little brother. He is cutting class and his grades have dropped over the past couple months.

He isnt into drugs or anything but I dont want him going down that road. Am I worrying to much right now or should I try and get him help?? Anybody in the same boat I am? Any advice would be great.

Thanks!!

i have a 14 year old out of control daughter. i recently found out that she has been smoking marijuana. i bought a home drug test and made her use it as i was standing out side of bathroom so i know she used it properly.  a year ago she was doing great but like your son she slowly started showing signs of rebellion and now hanging with wrong friends. i think i am going to try and find some sort of school or program to help her out before she starts doing harder drugs.

I have a 18 year old son that is so out of control I can't stand it. I have called a couple places but they tell me he is to old and is an adult now.

I wish I would of done something sooner.

Jen don't wait to get help. You still have a lot of years in order to change his behavior and get him on the right track.

I think this has been given an advice due to the fact that this is a 2 year thread but would also like to give you my share of experience. I've got a teenager who is the same as your son. I've just been dealing with him for so many years and come to a decission to let my son be at a boarding school at Turning Winds, my son now had the chance to straighten up his attittude.
